Springy Sweater Solutions

ev’s post on springy cardigans led me to do a little rooting around the ole internet.  Her finds made me lust for some bright and fun new pieces, but I already own so many dang cardigans, quite a few of which have been neglected.  Inspired by the embellishment on several of the spring cards, I went searching for DIY updates for the poor and crafty (or aspiring-crafty)!  Here are some cute (and easy!) sweater makeovers I’ve found thus far:

J. Crew inspired ruffle salvaged from an old tank top from Mismatch and quick and easy lace detail from Threads Magazine.

Applique birds with an added bonus as a hole-coverup from Thimbly Things

I’m contemplating an even easier project of button replacement to update one of my own sweaters.  What sweater-makeover successes have you had in the past?
